A Small-Batch Experimental Craft Brewery
Traditional beer styles provide a starting point, but the goal is not simply to repeat the familiar. Each batch leaves room for subtle twists, new ideas and changing inspiration.
Sandy Valley Brewing Company
Sandy Valley Brewing Company brings a different kind of craft beer experience to Villa Antonio. Our small-batch brewery takes traditional beer styles and updates them with subtle twists, while also exploring mixed-culture, wild, and wine-barrel fermented ales shaped by season and inspiration.
The Sandy Valley Story
Sandy Valley Brewing Company has been part of Villa Antonio Winery since 2019. Our team wanted to expand our offerings to cater to both wine and beer lovers, so we developed our own craft brewery. Both the winery and brewery are located about 5 minutes from St. Louis. Our property offers beautiful scenery and a relaxing environment where you can slow down and simply enjoy the finer things in life.
We have created a space where brewing takes inspiration from winemaking, agriculture, and the changing seasons. We brew with whatever new inspiration arrives next, allowing the worlds of beer and wine to intersect.
Traditional beer styles provide a starting point, but the goal is not simply to repeat the familiar. Each batch leaves room for subtle twists, new ideas and changing inspiration.
We are more than just another microbrewery. We are a collective of artisans. Agriculture, foraging, winemaking and creative experimentation all influence the way the team thinks about beer.
Our base beers can take unexpected turns as seasons change and new resources become available. Rather than forcing every idea into a permanent formula, we treat seasonality and new ingredients as part of the creative process.
Alongside twists on traditional beer styles, we brew mixed-culture and wild ales. These beers that give our brewers another way to experiment with fermentation and character.
As part of a larger winery, we allow age-old winemaking processes and modern beer production to collide and cross-pollinate. Wine-barrel fermentation gives that idea home inside the brewery.
A connection to growing, ingredients and the changing seasons.
Curiosity about resources that exist beyond a standard brewing recipe.
A natural bridge between Villa Antonio's cellar and Sandy Valley's brewery.
Permission to experiment rather than repeat exactly what came before.
Sandy Valley's lineup can evolve as new resources, seasons and ideas emerge. The best way to see where the brewery has gone next is to experience what is currently pouring at Villa Antonio.

The lineup changes, but the idea stays the same: Start with a recognizable beer style, then follow the ingredients, the season, or the fermentation to somewhere less expected.
A direct crossover between Villa Antonio's wine world and Sandy Valley's brewery. Seyval Blanc and Cayuga grape juice meet Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Nectaron hops, creating white-wine, tropical-fruit and grapefruit character with a crisp finish.
Vista, Cashmere and 008 hops shape a hazy pale ale with aromas of ripe honeydew, tropical fruit cocktail and banana.
Fresh marigolds meet Strata and Columbus hops in a floral IPA with pine, ripe berry and lightly dank aromatic character.
A dark German lager that stays light in body, showing cocoa-dusted biscuit, graham cracker and espresso character.
Peruvian coffee contributes milk chocolate, brown sugar and medium-roast coffee aromas, balanced by gentle caramel sweetness.
Cushaw squash grown by the Osage Nation is incorporated into the mash, adding to a creamy mouthfeel and chocolate-led stout character.
Local marigold flowers contribute tangerine-zest and peach-ring notes, while green heirloom Oaxacan corn helps give the lager a soft body and crisp finish.
The beers available during your visit may evolve with the season, available ingredients, and current experiments. Come see what the brewery is pouring now. Because we are a small-batch microbrewery, our beers are exclusively available onsite at Sandy Valley Brewing Company.
