Do you know the basics of Mahjong and are learning to play, but would appreciate some guidance along the way with things like the Charleston, reading the card, exposures, game flow, etc. Grab some friends and head over to The Villa!
We’ve got you covered with our Guided Open Play session. Elizabeth from Mahj Podge will be on hand to coach and guide and answer your burning Mahj questions.
Play Time: Our instructor is on hand for three hours, but we encourage you to come early to order food and wine, eat and socialize.
Price: $20 per person
Format: Social hour and food ordering at 11 AM. Guided open play will start at noon.
Cards: Official game cards are published each year by the National Mah Jongg League. We’ll have cards to borrow and a limited supply for sale.
4 people per table – If you are signing up with friends, please indicate in the notes section, and we will do our best to seat you together.
Equipment: We provide everything, but if you plan to play regularly, you will want to buy your own official 2026 National Mahjongg League card. We will have a limited supply available to purchase at the event, but you can also get your own here.https://www.nationalmahjonggleague.org/store.aspx#
